if were stuck for somewhere to go and there is only a few of us we could always fish walton park, no peg fees, no bait bans, plenty of fish to different tactics and you can use keepnets, you just have to be there dead early to get pegs next to each other and watch out for all the bank side walkers etc

They don't do day tickets on the canal anymore. Cyprinus: I'll try and sort you a lift. Looks like its deffo bannisters lads. I need a definite number by monday at the latest. I'm phoning Tim on Monday this has dragged long enough, and I'm stamping authority now. Sorry if that sounds abrupt people ha ha

This is for the benifit of all of us. We can make this into an ongoing event if it works out good. Come on guys, show us your supoport here. Lets make the Fishing Maniacs Match a good event and we can all look forward to future outings. Once we have a group who are willing to particapate we can look to the having better days out. What im thinking is maybe a couple of trips further away sometime. It wont to hard to hire a minibus for trips. What we need though is for this first match to be a success and we can take it from there. Trips dont have to be matches. We can all go for a days fishing to places we have not been before just for the fun and fish if wanted. So come, dont let us down. The future looks bright for the Fishing Maniacs. Bri

I am not sure the if the canal lake also got the fish kill, but it's got good sport. And the owner has placed no. of pegs there already.......... (that cheated Mathew and me and didn't fish the canal lake at the beginning! ) last time only fished there for 2 hrs caught nearly 40lb mate.

From the sound's of this bannisters i think we should fish the cut... IF not fishing the bannisters, still got some choices... Lingmere Match Lake is a well maintained fishing IMP, I just DON'T like blanking at the cut...

Well mate.. even if blanked, you are bound to learn more about the place then you ever thought.. and it would make you refine ur techniques to ensure you catch on hard waters and make you a better angler. Just like errors in life. The more you make them, the more you improve yourself to be better.. Lets all blank mate Mathew

Honestly I don't hate fishing at the cut, I fished the cut when I just started coarse fishing. I know it's more difficult than fishery, that's why I personally think not very good as our match is just a pleasure match.
