Me and Chalky arrived around 8:30 and I decided to have my first go with a method feeder. First chuck and I had a Common around the pound and a half mark. Next chuck the same............... This went on for well over an hour with some fish around the three pound mark every now and again. Most of the time my feeder had only just settled and another fish was on. I was really enjoying myself until I realized I was running out of ground bait fast. I had a look in my bag and pulled out some Swimstim micro pellets, Skinz feeders and an old tin of hemp. So decided to bulk out my ground bait with these. This resulted in loads of liners but no bites as I think they became preoccupied with the small offerings instead of my shellfish boilie. I decided to push all the groundbait through a riddle and this resulted in the bites and loads more fish. Twice I was snapped up due to me using the line clip Anyway, I had one of my better days and didn't really want to come home but the X Factor was on. Heres a couple of pics. The more I fish this place the more I like it. Rgds Bri

I fished that exact swim yesterday mate and it was quiet for an hour then it just came to life, the biggest of the day was a 6lb common that someone must have fed lucozade pelets the fight it gave me, the worm was deadly and at times i would cast in with no groundbait in the feeder and they would still pull my rod in.

We are sitting where the water should be Andy. The farmer pumped out all the water when we had the hot weather. It is comfy though.

The water level was back up to normal last Sunday - probably something to do with all the good weather we've been having for the last few weeks!
