That is a load of bollocks all it does is favour the match angler who is scared of getting beat by 1 big fish. And this rule was not used in the last match so why now. This is a friendly get together so if i want to sit there all day with half a tin of meat waiting for 1 monster i should not be penalised. KEEP IT SIMPLE WHAT YOU CATCH COUNTS. 100% Agree.

Mathew has not asked for his name to be added to the list,as he is unsure if he'll be able to attend due to family commitments,as is Kevin.
The only solution I can think of is to put yourself,Kevin and Mathew into the reserve list unless you can think of a better idea!

fair comment smudge, i am not for the rule, just wanted to know if we where following that rule, as you said its a friendly get together, and should not be penalised for catching a decent fish.

Being realistic what sort of weight would you expect to catch at that time of year bearing in mind every peg will be used. And what sort of weight would you expect pleasure fishing. I hate that expression( pleasure fishing) . I think every trip out is a pleasure.

Has anyone fished it in december? my mate wins all the matches on it every week, his secret bait is chips (loads of salt and vinegar) , you need to use proper chips done in lard, he blanked on those oven chip things he fishes them on the stick float using a topper haskins float and a number 6 circle hook just dont tell anybody

could'nt possibly guess a weight but from past experience i'd say 20lb+ is a realistic target for anyone .

i agree with the 3 pound rule so it is not bollocks we have the rule on our club lake only when we are at home away matches count all weights and i would make it a pound for a carp at the end of the day we are supose to be match anglers not fucking carp anglers

First off were not on your club lake and no we are not supposed to be match anglers were supposed to be a group off people who like all aspects of angling. And the reason three pound thing is bollocks is because people like you are scared of getting beaten by some one who just wants a day out fishing for what they can catch.

dont hold back smudge will you. Well if any one thinks im wrong lets not sit on the fence. This is the reason i jibbed club fishing because of all stupid fcuking rules that have come into it. Why make more rules than what the fishery allready has ?
