ALAN - im sure he said to me on the phone theres only 25 pegs with a maximum of 22 anglers as the bottom end pegs directly face each other , could you possibly ring him again just to make sure as we dont want to disappoint any anglers who put there name down late .

Terry was correct the lake only hold 22,so theres only one place left.Anybody else wanting to go will have to go on the reserve list.

brian its our match as far as im concerned we can have what rules WE want (exept the bait bans etc) True Dave. Just wondering what the point of it is. Never heard of that before. If this is what has been decided then cool, il go with that. Maybe we can get a set of FM rules posted so we all know whats what.

The 3lbs rule is one used by a local club and one which I dont think we need to follow. We never used this rule at the last FM match.
The reason behind it is that the lake hold some very large fish and in some cases you only need one fish to win the match. So to try and make the matchs fair every fish over the 3lbs only weights the said amount. It might sound a little mad ,but it does work.

That is a load of bollocks all it does is favour the match angler who is scared of getting beat by 1 big fish. And this rule was not used in the last match so why now. This is a friendly get together so if i want to sit there all day with half a tin of meat waiting for 1 monster i should not be penalised. KEEP IT SIMPLE WHAT YOU CATCH COUNTS.
