OK people, I need to call the club to book the length we'll be fishing, so if you could give me an idea of numbers it will help us with the planning.
Oh, and for those who aren't members of SDAA it will cost you the huge sum of £3 each. Go easy with the smelling salts...

We're looking to confirm this with the club over the weekend - those interested need to let us know today/tomorrow so we can pass the numbers on.

I wil do my best to make the next one.
For those of you turning up I hope the day goes well and you catch and have fun.

As the numbers have dwindled (they never got above 2 on the SDAA forum), I've made the decision to cancel this.
If there are up to four still interested on here, Tabby & I will be able to take you as our invited guests (we are allowed two each). We'll be going anyway, so the first four to shout up will get to fish next Saturday.
Sorry it's come to this, but we only found out after the date was announced that the Pike Anglers Club annual meeting is on the same day (in Leeds) which has resulted in a number of our club members backing out due to travelling over there.
Let's not lose the idea of a fish-in/match/social angling session (whatever you want to call it). W can re-arrange this for another time, when more of us are available.

In that case can I be the first to take you up on your kind offer marky? You have PM. The idea of a meeting between our two forums (fora?) is a good one and I'm sure we'll get good support for it in the near future.

Come on guys, lets get one sorted in the month of October. I think it should be a Sunday as a few of us find it hard to fish on a Saturday. I will start a new thread with some dates on and we can take it from there. Bri

No problem Matt - consider your place reserved (check your PMs) Three places left everyone...

Depending on the take-up on the SDAA forum the response may be a bit low (tabby & I will probably both be attending the matches). I will replicate your new thread on the SDAA forum and see what sort of replies we get. BTW - good to see you yesterday - the stretch we fish the matches on is generally a lot more productive than where we were yesterday. I came second this morning thanks to a rather nice 4.5lb Tench and some very nice hybrids. Only our match secretary beat me to the H Beck Memorial Cup.

BTW - good to see you yesterday Like wise Paul. That is a lovely stretch you where fishing on. I really wanted to sit and have a go myself for a couple of hours. Cheers for the box. I have put the new footplate on I bought and it fits well. Nice and comfy also. Just need to try it out proper now. P.S, We stopped of at White Rails on the way home. I know its small but do you know if they book it out for small matches? I think it would be a good venue for an FM match in the colder months. Its a lot nearer than the places I normally fish and might give it a go.

If you turn of the A59 onto Cottage Lane hereIm not sure how far along but you will see the sign on the right hand side. It only has about fifteen pegs and you can only fish from three sides as one end has a high overgrown bank. It has a small island in he middle. Its £3 to fish
