Or a escapee from Six Fields Fisheries Remember the club put in a few(only a few) about 10 years ago, they were about doubles then.I had hooked them twice over the last 10 years, once on the Tin and once half way between the old bridge and Fiddler's dyke :DNo bleeding chance to land them like

If any of you wanted to fish the Sluice on the day ticket stretch, make sure you log on to S.D.A.A. asking if the place fishable first :DIt's full of weeds at the moment,The Back Drain is fishable though

this is all a bit confudlling !! the sluice isnt the drain the sluice is at the back of the backdrain? so which is the day ticket stretch Dave, the Sluice (aka River Crossens) runs from the back of Martin Mere at Burscough, all the way to the pumping station at Crossens. The Back Drain runs parallel with it from around peg 35 on the match length (middle of nowhere) to within 500yds of the same pumping station at Crossens. The day ticket length of the Sluice runs from the old railway bridge at Banks (on the landward side of the A565) to a 'No fishing past this point' sign on the seaward side of the A565. The car park is at the junction of the A565 and Station Road at Banks - there's a sign which details where you can fish and where you can get your ticket (the garage just up the road is the normal place). I have major fears for the upcoming Centenary Match this Sunday - there are MASSIVE rafts of duckweed drifting up & down which will wipe out sections at a go - there are going to be some very angry entrants come Sunday morning...
