are there any under 16 matches i asked Steve the lingmere bailiff if he would allow one there he said its 60 pound for the lake but i can only get half dozen names. does anyone now anyone who would be interested?

yes thanks i will do that its a but hard getting to matches for me unless there local as i cant drive yet. the last match was just were i started fishing wen i was 12, but haven't fished the canal as i moved to the wirral from Bootle, is it any good what was the winning weight.

originally from bootle just of harris drive but i live in saughall massie now m8. how did it fish wen you fished it did you have much? do you live on wirral. i went a fisherie in congleton on monday stalkin for the morning had an 11 a 4 a 2 on dog biscuts, the fish were really spookey because of the rain on sunday and it was thundering early hours monday and two little perch on me match rod.

yea mate live in bidston and it fishes well in the summer. The pleasure lake is very good top mix in there and you can pick em out all day. If your going at the weekend you will need to be early though cos it does fill up and its not masive.

ye i wen i go i get there for bout 6 doubt I'm going tho, ye pleasure lake is good i prefer it over the match, i love just getting rud all day from bout 2-3 foot in front of me, having a bit of trouble with my pole at the min i have leeda assassin advance got it from tackle show but man sold a broken 1 but it getting sorted over the next week or so after a long w8. the green koi swim stim mixed into a paste does well at lingmere feeding trout pellets! do u use pole or rod?

Fish the pole most the time my self. Now i got it back anyway Bri stood on it and snapped the no 4 section and t was a bit of a pain to get a new one. Jus got a tip rod though so gona give that a try in llyn y gors in a couple of weeks when am down there.

i herd feeder works very well there usin spicy groundbaits or jus gettin crumb and adding to it. do you think it would be worth arranging a match at lingmere?

not at the min mate we ennd to make it somewere a bit more central as the lads come down ere from manchester for the first match so its only fair we make it a bit closer to them this time but its worth keeping in mind for the next one

yer i will, lingmere seems to be fishin well latly me mate and his dad often go down of a nite they had some nice fish tench to5lb nice 16lb mirror they sed its non stop al nite. have you ever fished matches at lingmere they have them all the time there dont they? im off to cuba in 3weeks supposed to be a family holliday there are 22 of us going but us sensible ones are packing our rods we goin fishin out there whilst the res are layin on the beech

James I know every saturday and sometimes even sunday the match lake got matches, so it's not easy to book, or you know any day available?
I've never tried paste in the pleasure lake, always use 6mm expanders / corn, managed 40lb net in average.

yer I'm not sure wat other pastes do well in there never tried them but the Green swim stim koi stuff mixed into a paste like i say does well. i think lingmere is run well its got everythink ya need CAFE lol and because of the strict rule of barbless hooks only which i do agree with wen you catch fish id say at least 90% of the fish have mouths unlike sum fisheries were there all riped and some times lips non existing
