As I arrive at the old roan from liverpool are we fishing on the right hand side of the bridge?
How do you get on the canal from the old roan pub?

I'll be there. It appears we are fishing the B&Q side of the bridge but I could be wrong?
To get on the towpath I think you need to carry your gear up the bridge then down the steps near the top. Don't think there's a shortcut unfortunately.

To get to the canal, just cross the road and up the hill and you would notice a small stairs down to the canal.. I was wondering should we fish the left side as there is a barrier to stop motorcyclist from coming in. But who knows maybe right side of the bridge has more fish.. Mathew |

To make it clear, when Mathew and me go again on Thur, I can take a couple of picture to show the direction. Or we just meet at the car park?
if meet down the canal, we gotta choose to fish left or right of the canal.

A good section is past the back of the BQ and round the corner on to the S bend,one good thing is that your round the bend so wont be seen from the bridge.
If you gonna fish the right hand side walk under the railway bridge and walk two thirds of the way down the straight till you come to the rushes and again peg round the corner,all good pegs on the day.
Sorry but due to club matchs I will not be able to attend ,but wish you all good luck.Ill try and call round on my way home if your still fishing.

Honestly not 100% sure, but Mathew parked there twice and nothing happened, and we checked around the car park, no any sign written it's private, but got a sign saying 5quid or something... but then nobody or machine there to take money.. |

I cant make it.  i work on the docks and todays ship arrived late so we were given the choice to work it this afternoon or tomorrow. And with the england game on we are working tomorrow. hope to finish in time to come down and say hi |

just made some Ground bait and got some hemp sweet corn and Maggots maggots.... don't tell me about it.. I bought them this monday at 9am before I head off to work because I had a long shift from 10am to 11pm... Got home and realise that 1/3 of them had semi-turned into casters!!! |
