id prefer to fish the canal, bannisters is a s*** hole an it gets boring catching carp after carp, the only thing that worries me is the amount of bank side walkers at the weekend on the canal

Not too fussed which way at the moment: certainly a canal may be more fun, provided there aren't too many walkers, cyclists, scallies etc (catching a fish from a commercial is just beating the man who put them there; catching from a canal is like slapping the face of God himself ). But: where is bannisters? I can get to old roan relatively easily, but don't know about bannisters (cos i don't know where it is).

one factor for me to choose bannister is that.. I don't have a LDA card.. Don't really fancy getting caught by any chance durnig the match..

not fished either venue,so not rearly bothered we where we go, the only thing that bothers me like the lads say ,with it being on a sunday all the walkers etc plus the boat traffic! sundays on the bridgie near me,fishing is almost impossible with all the weekend captains

Come on dudes, where's bannisters? Anyone got a postcode for it? Bannister House, The Marshes Lane, Lancashire, PR4 6JR that's the direction post from a lad in maggotdrowning "head up the A59 over the 2 bridges at burscough and turn left for martin mere - go past martin mere and carry on for a couple of miles and you come to a T-Junction - turn left and its on your left several hundred yards down - drive slow though cos you'll miss the turning - its amongst the big trees on the left - go up the dirt track and through the farm yard then you'll see the lakes ."

id prefer to fish the canal, bannisters is a s*** hole an it gets boring catching carp after carp, the only thing that worries me is the amount of bank side walkers at the weekend on the canal i wish I could get a carp there.. last time caught crucians(well it's kind of carp.. ), tench, skimmer/bream, barbel... not a single carp in both old and canal lake.

the canals not very wheelchair friendly either, they have barriers across to stop motor bikes so you might be snookered there aswell
