I have just had a week in York Lakeside lodges - The accommodation and position of the place are first class. Alas the fishing was poor. It holds massive Carp, Tench and Bream but is not managed very well as a fishery. You either catch hard to find big fish or blank. www.yorklakesidelodges.co.uk/Other places I have been to in the past are; Lowfields Retreat in Lincoln area - fishing very good although not much in the area for family. Caravans & cottages. www.ukparks.co.uk/lowfields//Crosfields Farm in Cumbria - Good accommodation, Quiet with 1 Course lake and one Trout (supposedly) Lake. I have not seen it advertised for a few years now though. I have found this link www.crossfieldcottages.co.uk/Anyone else got recommendations or even ones to avoid? Cheers Woody
