Hi Adam, where did you catch these fish? the lake in the picture looks great like an old estate lake, bet its full of tench.you can tell all the fish are old natural fish really dark in colour not like some of these washed out fish you catch in puddles. Alan..

I caught them on different days ranging from 15th-20th december, there was lots of leaves on the trees for the time of year, the goldfish picture looks like a summers day but believe me i had my berghaus gear on.They were caught in croxteth park in a pond that has been there for many years and has lots of different species in.

I didnt think they let you fish the ponds in the park, I remember fishing two pond their years ago one was on the edge of the woods with a farmers field the other side and a path running behind.( Brookside close was near)The other was surrounded by a fence and had an island in the middle and was full of carp, do you know these ponds are they still there, cant remember catching very much.

It might be the same pond because the one i fish is next to the farmers field and i think the one with the fence is the nature reserve which you are not allowed to fish but it is full of big carp. There must be atleast 6 ponds in the woods were i live and they are all well stocked but the fish are wise.

Thats spot on,I remember the one with the carp was in the nature reserve and the other pond you had to drive down a road between two fields turn left drive along and the pond was on your left you could park close to the pond, but Im going back nearly fifteen years.I doubt I could remember how to get there now. Cheers Alan..
