I used to fish Bootle golf coarse about fifteen years ago and it was great the small pond was full of cruican carp and tench, I caught my first of both fish here. I fished the top lake about three years ago and had about 40lb of carp and tench on pellet from the margins, but I heared there was a big fish kill and never went back. Only live 5 mins away might walk over and have a nose.

bit of advice - be careful when fishing the biggest pool , the times ive fished it ive lost count how many bad golfers there are and the ball flies passed your head ( i used to put my brolly up as protection even though it is hot and sunny )

There was a fish kill about 5 years back I was there dragging fish out of the margins, some lovely skimmers aboout 2-3lb, which was a bit strange because I'd never caught one all the time I'd fished there, I live on dodge myself. Will deffo get the ald chum mixers out again this summer early morning is best before all the kids and golfers get on there.
I used to work nights and fishing at 7 of a week day morning shoot straight to ours pick up the rod and rucksack and net and fook off for a couple of hours walking for pond to pond picking off a single fish at a time then let them settle again while fishing the other pond, some great mornings that way.
