dave i had a winkle picker years a go and it was good but now they dont make them any more and the only one i can find now is a 9 foot shakspear quiver rod from ted carters in preston so i may go and have a look at that one because on the web page it doesnt show it by the way i phoned him to day if you are wondering how i new about the 9 ft rod

Taskers had two winkle pickers,I was looking at them on Sat,ones a Shimano and the others a Preston Carbo.If I remember correctly they were both around 80 squid.

If you need something a bit heavier someone mentioned a spinning rod, match one of these up with a sidewinder. (Do you know what its killing me trying to help a bluenose having been a Kopite all my life - ) Keep smiling Woody

have a look at the shimano nexave winklepicker, 8 or 9ft, i couldnt imagine you needing shorter than 8ft.
i've got a shimano beastmaster feeder rod which can be used at 9'6" and thats about the shortest i would want to use.
