Went up to Borwick for a days fishing on Tuesday, arrived at 10 am, spoke to Jimmy the baillif who informed me and my mate that pool one was closed due to a mysterious fish virus. Opted to fish pool 4 which has carp up to 3lb, and the added bonus of being able to park up right behind my peg. The wind was horrendous, so i set up my feeder rod and after 10 mins or so was into my first carp of the day about 12oz. Continued to catch a fish a chuck and then noticed my mate had been sneaky and fed an inside line at 4mtrs and was catching even faster than i was. After a nano second i was scrambling up the bank to my holdall and took my pole out (oh er missus) Set up to fish at 5mtrs and had a depth of about 7ft, fed pellet with expander on the hook, and caught all day. Absolutely brilliant considering the weather. Would recommend the trip.

Come off M6 at junction 35, turn left at top of slip onto spur to A6, down to roundabout turn right signed Kendal, follow to next roundabout and tak third exit signed Borwick, follow road go over M6 to next junction turn right and fishery is about 4oo yds on right hand side.
Speak to Jimmy the baillif and he will point you in the right direction, but you really want to be on pool one if possible and pool4 for ease (no walking )
Hope this helps
Steve
