After loads of disscussing on which venue to go, we decided to go to Lingmere ;D as it was quite near for us and I was expecting that since it was a bank holiday most fisheries would be packed so since Lingmere was one of the nearest to us, we thought we would reach there quite early. After dropping the wife off work and picking up Kevin, we arrived at about 720am but by then almost every single peg of the pleasure lake has been taken up... So sulkingly we walked over to the match lake and did what most angler with a pole would not do. We decided on pegs that was directly into the wind... But somehow or another we got rewarded with results with Kevin landing 2 tench about 5lb to 6lb within the first 15mins. Playing with the tench and netting it. My first bite resulted in a small ghostie and a soon a couple more miss bites at about 9metres out. Soon I tried the margins and got into a couple nice fish with a ghostie at about 8lbs I reckon.. ( maybe it's time to buy a weight sling and scale ) . A couple of nice carps to about 2lb was landed as well. Managed a bream at about 3lb to 4lb just by the margins on a corn as well. And got myself my first ever barbel. Small though but nonetheless a barbel. Well the fishing was hard considering the mini "hurricane" we fish in.. But I was quite happy with the results. More pictures to come from Kevin

I was so lucky the 2nd fish I landed is a nice tench, then after half hr, another nice one which put me 10lb in the net. (if I can use one.... ) The baliff told us just fish next to the margin you'll amazed how many fish you catch. Mathew chose to fish the margin and he got the rewards! Here are the nice carps he landed. another cracking condition ghostie! I am jealous! I moved to another peg because I couldn 't stand the hurricane. That peg got more bites and I managed around 15 skimmers and 2 carps. Is it called a GHOST LINEAR CARP? The match lake is very deep! just 1M away from bank is 3feet deep. 3M away from bank is 5 feet+ all the way out! The hurricane really made presentation a nightmare. Will buy a few .7g+ float to combat the situation next time.
