LDAA were in last nights Echo, with the announcement that under 16 will be able to continue to fish for free on the 25 miles of canal they control. Adult tickets will be on sale from the end of next month from local tackle shops for £17,things are looking good for LDAA who should have a full committee from next year and the appointment of nine bailiffs.

Confused - if the LDAA cards are on sale from the end of November, is that for 2006, or in advance for 2007?
If it's for 2006, who is realistically going to spend £17 for a month's fishing?
If it's for 2007, then people should (theoretically) be able to fish the canal for free until 31st December, shouldn't they?
As well as the full committee and bailliffs, it seems LDAA need a publicity officer who can clearly state their intentions...
