hi guys - im looking to go river fishing next week and was wondering if anyone knows of any good day ticket stretches on the river dee ie bangor ? worthenbury ? ive been to eccleston and didnt like it .

No need to travel that far Terry,try the Alt in Formby.Travel light and walk along fish different pegs.The pegs above Southport bypass (towards Maghull )are shallow so youll need to find deep holes to catch fish.Theres a peg on the point where the Fine Jane runs in which is a noted peg.The other side of the bridge is alot deeper and youll catch all along.Youll need a stick float about 4no6 would be fine. Good luck youll be very surprised!

hi alan - i already know this stretch as i fished it a couple of years back , some nice stamp roach and a few small chublets right by the bridge where downholland brook joins up with it , to be honest mate im going with my 2 uncles and they have the car so wherever they go i go if you know what i mean but wouldnt mind trying the dee myself , will definitely get back to the alt one day . cheers .
