how do you present the bait on slope?
should I just use heavier bait like corn or meat to overshot the float, the move the rig up the slope till the bristle shows?

my advise to this would be to fish at the bottom of the slope, as food will fall down the slope and settle on a flat bottom. the bottom of the slope will always be a place to find fish waiting for a free meal.

that's the problem ukfisher, there's really no flat spot at the margin, only 5M out it's 6 feet+...

It makes no difference what bait your using. If your float is shotted properly you will notice a difference if your bait is off bottom.
