Thanks Kevin & Dave. Another 5oz and I would have got second. Where did you see the result Kevin? Angling Times mate, yes it's very close. Normally your weight can win a mile, the fishing is that good recently?! 1.I Platt, Ted Carter Southport 52-1-0 (sponsered by the fishery, baliff there? ) 2.J Tomkinson, Bolton Angling Centre 48-4-0 3.jammy M Roberts, Liverpool AS, 48-0-0

I've been trying to get hold of a copy of the AT since Tuesday, local Co-op is sold out. It's still fishing quite well Kevin but the feeder has slowed right down. I had one bite on the method which I missed, all my fish came from the pole line. I don't think Mr Platt is a bailiff there although the owners tend to do well when they fish.

seem the method feeder tactic is not as productive as summer, the temperature dropped and the bites are shy now right?
So how many metres out were you fishing matt?

Kevin slowly extracts the information a question at a time...
The bite I had on the method was positive enough but it came completely out of the blue after the feeder had been in position for over 10 minutes, no liners or signs of fish out there. Having said that the guy on my left had a few on the tip but he was fishing a bit further out than me and using a different groundbait mix.
I caught steadily at 13m on the pole.

kev you can still use the feeder rod..you just need to adjust the tactics with it, pretty soon maggot filled blockends will start to pay more dividends
