as todays boat trip from rhyl was blown off me and LOL decided on a little go at cheshire fisheries at tattenhall in cheshire
it was quite blowy when we got there but we found a couple of pegs onj lake 4 that were sheltered from the icy blast
as LOL wanted to try out his new pole thats what we started on, we fed meat corn and pellet at 9 meteres out whilst feeding an inside swim either side for later on
by alternating between the 3 swims i had plenty of bites from small carp (up to about 3 pounds), skimmer, roach and rudd that kept us busy for most of the day though we never had any trout that are reported to live in there, i did however catch a signal cray fish that was a bloody nightmare to unhook
at one point we noticed a stoat or a weasel hunting a baby rabbit down, only about 15 foot away from us, brilliant to watch and luckily the rabbit escaped
by the way do you know how to tell the difference between a weasel and a stoat....
ones weasily recognisable and the others stoately different
we found a couple of good lakes on the way home so they have been logged in the sat nav for future reference

Well in dave... I have never fished there, only been to the tackle shop there, quite a lot of stocks and they are cheap too.
