when to the cut yesterday with my grandad we decided to go up to Maghull so we went to hall lane then fished Opposite some boats at first we seen loads of fish on the top mainly small roach, so botgh set up a with wagglers then my grandad started to get a few small perch and roach while i was blanking.. Then he had a skimmer then i had 2 perch then we seen a dead eel floating on the top, which made me say to him that i'd never had an eel out of the canal then my float went under, and when i strok the fish shot off reall quick, and when i got it to the surface i could see it was a eel which had swallowed the hook and got the rest of my rig tangled, so i rigged up and put my bait in the same spot (Near Margin) float went under after about 30seconds and it was a nice bream then my grandad got one that was about 3lb so all in all it was a good day with about 6-7lb's worth of fish i cant get the photo on because my install disc isnt working properly regards Jamie.
