Went for a walk around both lakes yesterday morning about 11am. Sefton had maybe a dozen anglers most of them at the far right hand end by the island. Not many keep-nets out - the one thing that struck me was that most were using tip rods, only saw one pole in use. A couple of carp boys on the jetty's.
Greenbank had only about 6 anglers, the water was still green with some sort of algae bloom, saw no keep-nets or fish caught, although one swim I walked past was fizzing with bubbles, if I had more time I would have shot home for my tackle just to have a go in that one. Its funny anglers sat in "convenient" but dead swims yet a walk of 50 yards and they would have found a real lively looking swim. I even mentioned it to one angler who was nearest and he said he would wait for his swim to get going. I'll bet he is still waiting.
