Went back to the Ship today and fished the same peg as last week. I fished two lines again; one at 9m in 4ft of water with bread and the other at 11m next to the reeds in water 6" shallower with pinkie and hemp. The 9m swim proved the best with plenty of skimmers and some better bream on decent sized punch; Some of the fish were a bit manky, look closely at the bream you will see it's only got one eye! It was also covered in tiny parasites. The 11m line was solid with perch on pinkies until I converted that swim to bread as well to collect a couple more skimmers and a tench; I lost another tench too which headed straight for the reeds and snagged me up! Last fish of the day from the 9m line on flake; Definitely my best evening on the cut so far this year, and all I really needed was 6 slices of Warburtons.

www.fishdoc.co.uk/disease/argulus.htmHere is the problem, however its only really a problem with ornamental fish, with all of the in breeding they do for colours. Natural fish like those in canals are not really bothered by them. They appear in great numbers around this time as the water temperature warms up. Sorry for boring you
