Woke up at 5 in the morning and then set off around half 5. got to mescar around 6. i was the 1st person on the lake so i got on my favourite peg number 1 with the reeds either side of me. start off by feeding strawberry micro pellets with my hook bait as double corn. was fishing about 5mtrs to my right close to the reeds. with in 5mins i hooked a fish which swim right in to the reeds so i had 2 put a lot of side strain on it as i was using a number 10 elastic. after around 5mins fighting with it i got it in my net it was a lovely mirror carp around 4-5lb. with in half an hour my swim was alive carp after carp and my biggest of the day was around 8lb which i got a photo on my phone. when it started getting 2 lunchtime the swim had gone dead of carp and the roach and orfe started moving in. catch plenty of them but in the end i got pissed of catching them so i packed up around 2pm. it was worth getting up at 5 as the morning sesson was brilliant from 6am-12pm. the owner andy said the carp had finished spawning and were feeding very heavy. i used 5 tins of sweetcorn in 8 hours. deffo going back before i go on holiday as it is my local fishery. anyone planning on going its worth it.i think the fishing there is better in the morning and evening
