Reach GreenBank about 7am and decided to try out something new which I've never fished with before. So as per usual set up and admired the scenery and also keeping an eye on the weed pads making note of any movements within it. Constantly feeding my pellets produced loads of bubbles around my swim and soon enough something took my bait and off it went.. Size 16 elastic just zoom off like a ferrari into the weeds.. I tried my best to steer it out but no chance at all, in the end lost my whole rig Re-rig a new float, and on my way I go, right smack centre in a fuzion of bubbles.. Within seconds another bite came and I was onto a fish .. 5lb+ Tench it was happy days.. By the time it was 10am, I had manage 8 tench and 2 crucians.. and was thinking I still have more time to beat my personal best of 10 tench.. But nope.. it wasn't meant to be with me losing more then 4 more fishes.. Oh well, by 2pm my wife had came down to the park looking for me after she finished her work and at the same time help me take some pictures from my mobile phone. Packed up and went home by half 2... Will definately be back another day to try to break my personal record in GreenBank again.. My sack of tench. One of the better tench. Mathew

Well mathew if you fish the place regular its your duty to report this to the enviorment agency. The thing about last time was that they were to late, they will come and put air pumps in the water to pump in oxygen.

well I overheard from the tackle shop that there is an argument about it now whether is alge.. or some pigmentation off the trees that is dyeing the color green.. But then again I'll bring up this suggestion to the guys in the local shop and would call up the environment agency sometime this week.
Cheers.

I don't think it's alge honestly. If it is the disolved oxygen level will drop and a fish tend to swim on the surface layer. I didn't see one yesterday mate.
It might be other kind of water plants which do photosynthesis which actually add more oxygen to the water.

Don't think I can break your tench record as you might better than Steve Ringer in Greenbank mate. I need some luck and a good day. But seriously I wanna manage the TYSON CARP there on pole! Those bastards are just too cheeky.
