I had a early start yesterday at 4.00am on the members stretch of the River Crossens not a soul in sight and a mist rising off the water magic. I fished two rods one laying on with double maggot the other rod float fished midwater I took a load of small skimmers on the shallow rod along with roach perch and rudd meanwhile on the other rod I had some half decent skimmers and hybrids and just the one tench around 2.5 lbs . I was going off the water as the first persons were arriving. Not a fantastic catch but nice catch some wild fish for a change .
