after a good paste session tues (posted a longish report on the other board cheers bri decided to have another crack today, but this time i was ready for the(bastid) carp that saw me of last time!! ,on the same peg as last time with the same paste i set up just one power top loaded with....................wait for it..........BLACK HYDRO with a freshly tied rig to suit.right ya bleeders game on!.cupped in a few micros and hemp, rolled the paste on the hook,as i care fully shipped out a dr evil laugh left my mouth, quick check over the shoulder and no one had heard me,phew!. i let the paste gently fall from the toss pot and the float settled beautifully you know that buzz of anticipation just before the float burys?well 2 hours later im still waiting for it ,reluctantly the float slowly went and small carp didnt even worry the hydro, and so it went on 5 fish to 2lb all day CRAP!!! question, does black hydro sretch more the 3 feet?? must try to find out

you know that buzz of anticipation just before the float burys? That to me is one of the best parts of fishing. P.s, sorry about deleting your post. I forgot mate.

Today really a bad day for fishing dave! Anybody know the reason? like air pressure or anything? good question kev! on tuesday it was a bit cooler with the odd shower and the water was alive fish topping, crashing about feed bubbles everywhere! friday morning was overcast and warm with sunshine in the afternoon and a little ripple on the water, perfect conditions? i really fancied my chances of a good day, the water looked dead and fishless, atmospheric presures, sudden change moon cycles??? dunno bloody frustrating though

In the morning, it's overcast with a little bit of wind and around 15C. It should be alright, Mathew and me got quite a high expectation before the trip. Actually the no. of skimmers and tench were very similar as before. Just the carps didn't really feed, as Mathew only caught a couple of carps, and I caught no carps.. That's very very strange as there're tons of the 6oz ugly fat F1/F2 carps in Lingmere.
