Well ended up back at GreenBank at about 7 in the morning. Slowly introduced wet micro pellets slob at my 7mtrs swim and another swim with red maggots. The red maggots didn't really score well with the small perch and roach. A few decent roach showed up though. Maybe I should consider pinkies at the moment for greenbank at least I know they are taking it more readily.
After about 3 small cups of wet micro pellets, I decided to try an expander over the bed of feed. Within 1 min the float registered a bite but I missed it!!! So back again with another expander and within seconds I was into the fish.. but alas it wasn't meant to be.. I know for one that it was not a bream but might be a decent crucian which snapped my rig taking my floater with it!!
Out came a heavier rig and back and gave another feed.. Got into a nice crucian about 1lb - 2lb estimated... And had 4 skimmers within the next 3 hrs and missed about 5 good bites... Reflex getting slow.. maybe I'm getting old
When it's time to go.. I can't believe how stupid I was.. I set my camera to manual and took a picture with my crucian thinking that it would be clear, I released the whole net.. and when I check my camera it was BLUR!!! I forgot that in manual mode the lens would not focus itself!!
Oh well it was a nice little session on GreenBank.. currently it's starting to pick up with pellets scoring bream and crucians, pinkies scoring perch, roach and rudd. Just for infos mate.
