After finding the fishery which was located at Whitchurch/Broughall, we started our fishing by 830am by then there were 2 anglers on the bank.
The wind was howling mad and I personally had a bad feeling about it. After hearing news from my friends that average of 2lb-8lb carps been landed and even at your feet I had to give it a try. So I've decided not to use more then 3 sections of my pole.
The whole day Kevin was into fishes whereas I've been Jinx with a series of hook off, and soon after I finally landed my first small carp. By then Kevin had already landed some nice that gave a very nice stretch on his elastic.
Soon the wind direction changed and we both had difficulties catching anything at all. Kevin then made the decision to change a peg which proved to be a right choice as he was soon back into catching fishes. Whereas for myself still fishing with my top 2 was getting very little bites.
Kevin soon landed into some nice commons which was his PB carp yet to date. Having just been able to see him catch fish while I was struggling got me into crazy state that I just threw all my meat baits into the margin
Then within 10mins I noticed a couple of dark fins just beneath my feet which were at least into the double figures, I quickly went over to kev's and got more meat and try for 2hrs into getting them but had zero luck.
The last 1 hour proved to be the most productive time we were into double hook ups and both watching our yellow and red elastic stretch all over the pond, surprisingly the 4lb - 5lb carps there gave quite a good fight...
Overall it was a nice day out but if the wind wasn't there, it would have been better, would definately be back there again when the weather is right.
