Had a days fishing at Belmont Valley Fishery, on arrival it looked grim, swirling wind, that sort of rain that gets you wet, but despite that off i trundled and eventually set up on peg 2 (my mate had peg 1) Fed Hemp and maggot (red) and first put in had a golden tench, that set the pace for the day. Some fish were quite small but caught some lovely golden tench up to just over 4lb. Had a bite every put in which keeps you busy, all in all a very enjoyable day. What i did notice is if you did not feed you had to wait, corn and worm worked also. Would recommend a visit if you live in or near Bolton/Preston/Blackburn

You make your way from Liverpool to the M61/M65 junction take the M65 towards Blackburn, come off at first r/about and take second exit, continue through Abbey village into Belmont village (mind speed camera) as you lleave the village down the hill the road on the left is Egerton Road, turn and the fishery is 200yds on your left.
