hi all, decided to fish island pool, there was a strong wind blowing so i found a peg across the bridge where it was less blowy.i set up on 37 and fish two lines one at 13m and another at 6m.had to use 1g float as wind and tow was quite bad,fed pellets and fished corn at 13m catching small carp and orfe, was catching pretty well all fish small.went on to the short line with paste on,had a few knocks but no fish.back to 13m and caught the odd fish.fishing was pretty slow ended up with around thirty fish all in superb condition. since i was last here the place is looking very good and is sure to be a fishery worth a visit, the silver lake is like a mini irish loch with carp.
cheers bud
