Anyone got directions to Lingmere as I plan on trying it one day. Also how much are day tickets, what are best baits, size and species of fish and any other info about the fishery would be appreciated.

when you pass the Moreton train station, follow Pasture Rd to the shore, at the end of the road turn left you'll see a light house at the end of the road! Pass the light house you'll see a small road with no entry sign. Just get in and the fishery is at the end of the road. It's 5quid a day, and 2 rods "should be" 7 quid. There are 1 match lake and 1 pleasure/specimen lake. You know I ONLY got a 8M pole, and I NEVER use the last section.... I use 6mm expanders with 4mm feed pellets and groundbait. Sweetcorn scored well recently also. As the fishery is quite close to the shore and it can be very windy and a strong undertow, so I'd suggest to use groundbait to bring the feed down to a tight area, just feed 2mm pellets/pinkies/maggots is a nono as it will just spread around and towed away. I feed quite agressively, full kinder cup of pellets or golf ball size groundbait after everyfish or every 5min. I garantee you will be very buzy to land fish! I've seen people cast a big cube of meat to the middle island or the margin and caught double figure carp. There's a tackle shop, Moreton Angling Centre at Hoylake Rd, www.moretonanglingcentre.co.uk/ The boss Chris is very helpful !
