Mathew and me had a morning session there. Not much rain but quite windy. Mathew sit the peg next to a boat, I was opposite him. I started with method feeder, meat and prawn got no bites, corn caught roach and skimmers... and 2 small carps. Lots of time bait got stolen. Mathew was on pole and had a good start. Then I got fed up with the rod I setup pole and fished margin, but from that time the wind direction changed and blowing to Mathew's corner, again my swim was solid with roach and skimmer. The jammy bastard opposite managed another nice fish again. (That fish was really fat, it broke Mathew's landind net! I then cup in LOTS of corn and pellets and wait for 10min to let the fish settle, I hooked a decent fish but hook pulled, no nice fish for me today. Mathew had a new species, a sturgeon! I had problem presenting the baits, the slope if bottom is very steep. So I should overshot the float a bit, and pull it up the slope until the bristle show? And I feel like little and often is not very good there which attracts tonnes of silver fish. Next time I will try 1 meat and 1 corn swim, I was fishing s***e today!

Guess it was just another lucky day for me.. Was on the pole mainly to try a cupping kit I manage to get it done up with bits and pieces out of my broken top 2 Had mainly all my big fish down by the margins after feeding quite abit. The 1st big carp really took a beating before it finally got in. Left me with a sore arm.. Cup another feed into the same spot. Within 15mins had the larger one which did not put up that much as a fight. But what was really unexpected was the Sturgeon that was caught on the corn. I had always the impression that they would take Meat rather then corn. Gave quite a good fight on the Pole. Thanks to Kevin for lending me his landing net, if not I would not be able to have landed the fish at all. It's a nice place but too bad today the wind was howling. If not I reckon it would be a better day out.

I am thinking to scale up next time, size 12 hook double corn / meat, at least 0.18 line straight thru teamed with 16+ hollow.
Single grain of corn just taken by the silver fish well before the carp arrive.
