Nice fish mate, looks like you're fishing the Saracen's Head on the Wigan DAA side?

Yeah -it's the stretch between North Moor and Saracen's Head.
Didn't feed much - just a couple of cricket balls of Sensas groundbait and some corn now and again.

It's a good stretch that one. I had some nice tincas there earlier this year, my photos are in the venue reports section here. I find it fishes better early or late. Did you get pestered by many boats?

Nah hardly ever see a boat. I'm there just after 6am and am usually home for 9am at weekends. In midsummer I'll often go down about 8pm, when the kids have gone to bed! It's getting dark too early now to go in the week.
Had plenty of tench myself this summer up to 4.5lbs from the reeds near the Saracen's head. Lost quite a few as well!
