well done smudge :okevin and danny, well fishomaniacs2 was a great succes( whens the next one?) well down the list but enjoyed the day, pity i turned up a bit late and didnt get chance to meet a few more of the lads properly! right excuses-#1 spent yesterday setting up a method feeder(never fished it before) it only occurred to me at the all in that i might have been better off bringing a rod rest #2 over the last few week had some good bags on paste so that was my main attack WRONG! lost a couple early on and then struggled for bites so switched to pellet, caught a few-quiet-caught a few-quiet and so on! will be going back to rosemary for another crack at it,bit better prepared next time. cheers fellas ;D

A great day,I lost more fish than i caught,at one point Id lost about 7 on the bounce easily enough to win the match.
Well done to Smudge, kevin and Danny.
And I managed to get my pole sections apart when I got home with boiling water.

Well my plan of attack was the feeder with paste after seeing the guy yesterday bag up. Needles to say it was a bad idea. (or im crap)

I only had one bite on the method, caught all my fish using the splash waggler.Set up and feed a pole line at 13mtrs but didnt try it.
What was the total combined weight of everybody fishing,Id work it out but cant find a calculator?

well my master plan went a little tits up i knew it was going to be all or nothing and obviously it was nothing i had high hopes for the rocket feeder with 6mm pellets sprayed over the top but it was not to be, i never had a bite on it despite conditions being right for it ( i was talking to one of the match lads who had fished the open on the other lake and he said it normally produces ) again not even a bite on the splashing wag with 8mm hair rigged pellet the sectet bait stayed in the bag as it was for the pole line and i had forgotten all about it by the time i got the pole out got my fish on the cage feeder filled with pellets and hemp, and like others have mentioned lost more than i got in there seemed to be a ledge they were bumping off though a couple of times my hooklength snapped without too much force on it (i caught a couple of mussels after you had all gone, hooked fair and square, the hooklength was nipped in a couple of places so maybe this explains why so many snaps and lost fish) we caught plenty of carp both using feeders after you had gone and mick managed to find a rod and reel that had been lost in the lake, the rod was knackered but the bait runner reel should be ok after a strip down and re-grease

thats the only way mathew will ever get in the winners photo What did I say.. at least one of the "Asian Bagging Machines" came into frame... The next time it would be 2 of us.. BRING IT ON!!!!!! I reckon Matt82 and myself should have framed as well.. but we seem to be on the "death" pegs as we both bumped off a couple of decent fish.. But that's fishing mate NICE OUTING mates !! Lets do one pleasure one sooner before the match

I didn't sleep before the match, prepared all the stuffs for the match. Fucking tired during the match. My orginal plan was on pole, switched to rod to rest the pole swim. But then after a few fish on pole, I "was forced" use rod through out the session. Have never thought I can frame by rod and reel, a bit lucky this time. I also lost a few fish because of tiredness and lack of exprience... 2 times forgot to set the drag a bit loose, hook gone! a few times striked after A FEW SECONDS, I was sleeping with my eyes open I reckon my s***e rod is not bad... it's light to medium feeder, it's soft that take more time to land fish, but then the hook stayed on very well! good buy. hm..... need to get a hook pattern which's good for the selfhooking method feeder work.

kevin i bet the hook length snapping was because of those mussels, thinking about it it was effecting those on the feeder rather than those on the pole or waggler, the hook length will be on the deck when ledgering whilst on the pole/wag its obviously straight up and less likely to be in contact with the mussels

I don't like the rear drag reel with no precise setting. Just a very little turn is too loose of too tight. no good!

Kevin you might find it easier to have the anti reverse off and play any decent fish by back winding. I have allways found this the best way.

well i never had a bite on it, but im surprised really i had a lot of faith that it was going to produce if i kept the bait going in...probably why i finished so far down, by the time i went on the feeder /pole it was game over i can see it working at any commercial with a high stock of carp, the idea is to fish shallow, keep casting into the same place and fire pellets over the top, its very buoyant so the fish hook themselves thats the theory anyway...pity the fish at rosemary woods havent read the book
