Just had a session on here. Another half decent day. Had a few carp up to about five pounds and also had one of my fave fish.
A lovely Golden Tench.
Fished with red maggot on the pole at about seven meters.

thanks for sharing the pics, those fish look in top condition, with broad bodys wheres lingmere,is it day ticket? Alright Daveb Lingmere is a day ticket water and very good also. It has a match lake and a pleasure lake. The pleasure lake is what I fish most and as a very good head of fish. The lake itself is very nice with high banks all around to keep the wind away, lots of pegs and the fish run upto mid doubles. You can have some good action on the pole or throw a lead over to the island. If you know where Morton lighthouse is you cannot miss it, just ask a local. I like the place and would recommend it ;D Hers a couple more from there....... PS, Toryboy should give some proper directions when he logs on, or just PM him. Cheers BC

Morton is junction 1 of the m53. As you go down the slip road it will take you onto a dual carageway take the first left turn. About 1 mile up that road you can see the light house in front of you go up the soie of it down the private track/road. if you need ant further directions P/M me.

Carp and chub are feeding well on the match lake. Long pole and maggot is working best.

peg 20 and 21 is the place to draw mate, puts you next to the island, get it as tight to the island as you dare with a feeder( clip it up)...only certain pegs can fish against the island, if your near it look for a corresponding numbers that matches your peg on the island, you can fish between these numbers

while your fishing feeder/long pole keep a trickle of bait going in the margins either side and have a look after an hour, found that whatever line your fishing keep steady trickle of bait going in even when your not catching

Well fished here this morning. After ariving at about 9am to find only 2 others there and the sun was out i was happy. Fished my pole to 8 meters on soft pellet over micro's. first chuck got a f2 (and second third and forth). After about 45 mins got into a nice big carp had a good fight with it while the balif was on my sholder telling me he has put in 500 f2's and 1000 ghost carp oh and not forgetting to tell me how s*** my pole is (nice touch i thought)................back to my big carp. just as i was about to land it i got snapped. Could this have anything to do with my s*** pole i thought? ? Anyway after another few f2's i got a very nice golden tench. another few carp about 2lb and a coulpe of roach. All in all a good day untill i had to come home cos a got snapped and lost my hook tie..................STOP LAUGHING Well worth a visit at the moment but dont think the match lake is doing much at the min.

I don't laugh at you becoz I dunno how to tie spade end knot by hand either. But i always keep some eyed hooks and I can tie knotness knot.

After handing in my photography project in School, I rushed down to picked Kevin up to go to LingMere, after getting lost halfway in Morton, We stopped by Morton Angling and the shop owner was very helpful, he personally brought us to the fishery. Cheers Mate. Anyway we started fishing at about 11am and the fishing was good... However the wind was the main issue today which left me with a bad hair day. Within 10mins I hooked onto my biggest carp to date estimated maybe between 8lb to 10lb (My personal best up till date) on a medium elastic which took me about 10 to 15mins to land and another carp about 5lb to 6lb. Lost a couple of nice one... And landed loads of small F2's, tench, a skimmers. Kevin on the other hand had quite abit of handful of F2's and about 3 carps within 4lb to 5lb.. One nice tench we estimated maybe 4lb+ .. But not too mentioned he lost one run away train... Overall it was a nice day out and hope that the next one would be just as good. Will be waiting for Kevin to post up my pictures of me fish and me "Bad Hair Day" due to the wind. Here are the pics. Kevin into one of his fishes. Kevin and his first tench. Kevin with one of the better size carp. Another one to the scoreboard. Kevin Crucian Carp. Kevin with his skimmer/Bream I Surrender!!! Enjoy!! Now it's Kevin's turn to cont. the report. Mathew
